Saurabh Srivastava,Chairman, CA India shared his thoughts regarding the Innovation & Entrepreneurship. He stated that India is on the path of innovation & entrepreneurship but will take long time in reaching the zenith of the same. His analytical power of analyzing the model of the various countries was really a knowledge enhancer.

For me, the panel discussion on the topic Great leaders Take Risk was the discussion of the day. Shantanu Prakash, Chairman and Managing Director, Educomp said that leaders mitigate the perceived risk as they perform the actions which they believe and ought to provide results.

Sanjeev, Naukri.com Founder & CEO, really spoke out from his heart. He said he don’t risk. He does things which he believes deliver results. He said it’s not the vision, mission a startup thinks of and neither did he thought of before starting naukri.com. He only thought of getting succeed by providing solutions that didn’t exist and truly he did.

Deep, Founder & CEO of MakeMyTrip, said the fuzzy thing he always looks in is the attitude of the person he is appointing and the ability to get things done. He also talks of appointing the people who has “No People Syndrome”, people who have their own thought processes and the ability to discuss the same with their seniors.

I really liked the idea of Manoj Chugh, President (India & SAARC), EMC Corporation, for the topic – Managing the Most Talented. He said appreciations really matter in the organization. A small 2 minute break for a round of applause for a performer can make his day or just a simple rose from the senior can motivate an employee. He stated the importance of appraisal in an organization and managing the challenge a manager face when companies follow GE Bell curve.
